Kizlyar knives are made by company Kizlyar. This company is entitled after Kizlyar town where it resides. The town is located in the Republic of Dagestan, which is situated between Caspian sea and the central part of Caucasia. The Republic of Dagestan has always been known for its art – an art of metal and wood processing, engraving into bones and stone, carpet production, jewel-making and weapon production.

Kizlyar company is currently considered as one of the leading companies on the market in the area of knives craft and melee weapon production in Russia. All models of knives, daggers, sabres are hand made using traditions of the ancient Caucasian gunsmiths. Kizlyar knives have a very wide area of use, including hunters, fishermen, tourists, soldiers, special forces units, collectors or households. When producing blades, Russian stainless steel, carbon and last but not least high quality damask steel of our own production is used. Steel 65X 13 is used in the basic variant. After tempering to 56 – 58 HRC temper, this steel facilitates excellent cutting characteristics for a longer time. Blades are different thanks to comeback to traditions which includes decoration with various decorative motives. These involve hunting scenes, pictures of wildlife and birds or the traditionally stylised plant motive. Furthermore, each product can be embellished with silver, nickel silver or blackening. The final look of each knive is unique and ever unrepeatable. An individual sheath is produced for each knife or sabre which can also be decorated with traditional motives using stamping or engraving.
